A bit about Celin…

Hi, I’m Dr. Celin Gelgec, I’m a Clinical Psychologist and Director at Melbourne Wellbeing Group with a strong interest and extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder. My work is focused on helping clinicians move beyond uncertainty, avoidance, and well-intentioned but ineffective interventions, and move towards clear, evidence-based OCD care that genuinely supports recovery.

I work extensively with complex and high-risk OCD presentations, including perinatal OCD, family accommodation, trauma-related OCD, and co-occurring conditions. I also specialise in working with children and adolescents, and have treated a broad range of OCD themes across the lifespan.

Alongside my clinical work, I cohost a podcast on treating OCD (“Breaking the Rules” a clinician’s guide to treating OCD”), and I provide training, supervision, and resources for healthcare professionals who want to strengthen their OCD practice. My approach integrates Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), ACT-informed and mindfulness-based strategies, DBT strategies, and Schema Therapy, with a strong emphasis on real-world application and therapist decision-making.
