Women’s Health Week 2026

Women’s Health Week is Australia’s largest event dedicated to the health and wellbeing of women. In 2026, Women’s Health Week will take place from 7–11 September. The theme is “do it anyway”, which encourages women to take small steps towards better health. Often, health and wellbeing is put to the side due to busy schedules, caring for others, or trying to get everything done. This Women’s Health Week, there is a focus on integrating small changes related to nutrition, movement, rest, mental wellbeing, and connection, into daily life.

Below are some tips on how you can start to take steps towards looking after your health and wellbeing.

  • Fuelling – Explore adding an extra vegetable or protein to a meal; aim to eat regularly throughout the day and not skip meals; carry a snack in your bag; and take a water bottle with you.

  •  Movement – Embrace regular movement that’s built into the rhythm of everyday life, such as walking a few extra isles of the grocery store, parking away from an entrance, or throwing a ball for your pet.

  • Rest – Give yourself permission to stop and take 5 minutes. Embrace the moment to sit and just be, step outside, or pause all productivity.

  • Mental Wellbeing – Take a moment to check in with yourself and how you’re feeling. Pause and take a big breath, press your feet into the ground, and remind yourself that it’s okay to take time for you.

  •  Connection – Send a message to a friend or arrange a video call, check in with a neighbour, or try out a local community or activity group.
